Michael Irving has long been an anchor in the DC community, bringing his love for the city and passion for sincere service to the table at Charlie Palmer Steak DC.

After a celebrated twenty-year long career with the Metropolitan Police Department during which he earned multiple awards and commendations as a Detective, Mike returned to his love of hospitality that he fostered in both high school industry gigs but also during meals eaten out while on duty, taking particular comfort in the staff and servers he made connections with while away from home. He strives to build that same community for every guest at Charlie Palmer Steak, where he joined the team in 2013 and held several positions before taking the reins in 2016.
