Mnatsakanyan joins GSR after 14 years at Nugget Casino Resort, where he served in a variety of food and beverage leadership roles and was the opening general manager of Anthony’s Chophouse. Prior to joining the Nugget, he spent 10 years at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.

“Art brings a combination of operational experience, wine expertise and longstanding relationships within the Reno community that makes him an excellent fit for Charlie Palmer Steak,” said GSR General Manager Cheraz Ecker. “He understands what goes into creating a memorable fine-dining experience, from the quality of the food and wine to the level of service guests receive, and we’re excited to have him leading the team.”

A certified sommelier, Mnatsakanyan has extensive experience developing wine programs and creating elevated dining experiences. He also completed Cornell University’s Executive Hospitality Management program, further strengthening his background in hospitality leadership and operations.

“Charlie Palmer Steak has an established reputation for exceptional food, wine and service, and I’m excited for the opportunity to build on that foundation,” Mnatsakanyan said. “Wine dinners are a particular area of passion and expertise for me, and I look forward to creating memorable food and wine pairing experiences featuring Napa and Sonoma wineries in 2027 and beyond.”
