An Intimate Evening with David Wondrich
Exploring Martinis Through a Multi-Course Pairing
Spend an evening at the bar's most storied drink with the cocktail historian who knows it best. David Wondrich — James Beard Award winner and author of the new book on the martini's long, strange, and often contested history — joins Charlie Palmer Steak IV for one night of dinner, spirits, and stories pulled straight from the archives.
The evening opens with a pour of Champagne alongside sparkling sake, setting the tone for a menu built around contrasts. From there, an East-meets-West martini course explores how the drink changes when its geography does. Mains are built for the room: oak-smoked duck breast finished with macerated Bing cherries, followed by a Wagyu New York strip. Each course is paired with a variation on the martini, chosen and introduced by Wondrich himself.
$225 per person. Seating is limited. Reservations required.
